Legumes (beans, peas, lentils, etc) are also important. “Clean” sweeteners are honey, maple syrup, cane juice. Include some protein, carbohydrates and fat at every meal. It’s easier than you think, especially if you managed to give up cooked food, which is responsible for most of the excess calories and high levels of fat, sugar and salt. “Clean” foods are usually free of these ingredients.
